In this video, you will learn how to use the AI Scope Generation feature to help create and refine scopes of work.

This video will teach you how to draft and refine a Scope of Work or Services using the PlanetBids Scope Generation AI feature.
To access this feature, click the A I (Beta) menu in the upper right corner of your document, then select Scope Generation. In the top box, add a description of your project. You can be as broad or as detailed as you wish. In this example, we’re drafting a scope for constructing a community dog park, and we can start by saying just that. When you are finished entering your text, click Generate. Pressing the Enter key on your keyboard will also start the generation process. If you want to add additional lines within your project description, hold down the Shift key and then hit Enter key.
It may take a couple of minutes to render the scope. It might be good to know that the scope generator is focused on creating relevant scopes of work, so it is programmed to reject attempts to use it for other purposes. If it rejects your request for a scope, try adding enough detail to make it really clear that this project you’re describing is a real, genuine project your agency is going to work on.
The generated scope will be displayed in the Scope Preview box below. If you like this draft of the scope and want to add it to your document, click Accept, and it will be inserted. If you click Reject, the AI scope generation window will close out, and nothing will be added to the document.
To refine your scope and add additional information, type in the top box to add your requirements. In this example, we will refine and add details about timelines and materials. Once you have made the updates, click Generate. You can scroll to see the added sections based on the updated prompt. You can compare versions of your generated scopes using the arrow buttons to the left of the Generate button.
You can continue to refine your scope in this manner, adding or removing information as you wish. You may want to add budget information, advanced formatting requirements, require certain sections to be added or removed from the document, or require language translation to occur. In this example, we will ask to format sections with numbers rather than bullets, and for the output to be in both English and Spanish. Once you have made the updates, click Generate. Here we can see the added sections based on the updated prompts.
Once your scope meets your needs, click Accept. The document writing and editing tools allow you to make any additional content or formatting changes.
