Headers and Footers in Documents (Article)

To insert a header in a document, click Header in the upper right of your document:

Note: The header will not appear in the document viewer. The header will only be visible when the document is exported.

You can add a header left-aligned, center, or right-aligned by clicking and typing in the corresponding box:

Once you have text, you can use the formatting options (font size, font type, bold, italics, underline, and text color):

You can designate which page you would like the header to start on by typing the page number in the box or using the up/down arrows:

To add a page number to the header, click Add Page Number on the left, center, or right, depending on where on the page you’d like the page number to appear :

Once you have completed all editing, click Close:

To insert a footer in a document, click Footer in the upper right of your document:
