This video will teach Primes how to place an advertisement to inform other companies that you are seeking subcontractors to join a project.
Once you are logged in to VendorLine, there are two places you can go to place a Sub Bid ad. The first option is to click the drop-down under your company name in the upper right-hand corner, and click Place Sub Bid Ad. Alternatively, you can click Sub Bid Ads from the top menu, and then Place Sub Bid Ad.
The first area to fill out is Bid Detail. Sections with a red asterisk are required. For the Awarding Agency, type the agency name into search for and locate the corresponding PlanetBids agency. If the awarding agency is not a PlanetBids agency, type their name in the box. Do the same for Project Title. Fill out the rest of the information in this section, ensuring that required fields are filled out. If the project is not associated with a current PlanetBids agency, you can put a link to the project in the Link to Project field. If the project is with a current PlanetBids agency, that will be done for you within the sub bid ad.
Next, fill out the contact information for your organization, ensuring all required fields are filled out (designated by a red asterisk). The Notes field can be used to add additional information, such as fax number and preferred method of contact.
In the Ad Detail section, you will fill out more specific information about the job you seek subcontractors to help with. Sub Bid Title, Project Description, and a date/time to respond by are required fields. Any goals/classifications, license requirements, or wage requirements may also be filled out.
In the Notices section, you can check any options necessary for this posting.
Notification Criteria will allow you to set who should be notified of this opportunity. Here, add categories and contractor licenses that match your targeted goal. When selecting categories, they may be listed in several different ways. To maximize your notifications, select all adaptations. Classifications are used to target specific groups of vendors, such as Small Business or Disadvantaged Business. You can use states/city/zip codes to refine your search further.
In the Payment section, you can choose add-ons like the Good Faith Effort Report or Extra Notifications, which sends up to 500 additional notifications to qualified vendors. Then, fill in your payment information and click Create. You have not created your sub bid ad.
